March for Bernie Sunday in Eureka

EUREKA – Bernie Sanders supporters are planning a “March for Bernie” Sunday, July 24 at the Humboldt County Courthouse in Eureka. The event, organized by Northern Humboldt for Bernie, takes place from 10 a.m. to noon at 825 Fifth St.

According to a press release from Northern Humboldt for Bernie “The purpose of March For Bernie USA is to protest the highly biased and unfair treatment demonstrated by the DNC, towards presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. The nationwide protests are meant to encourage superdelegates to nominate Bernie Sanders as our next President. With the Democratic National Convention beginning next week, this demonstration will serve as a show of solidarity for the progressive agenda and ideals brought forth by Senator Bernie Sanders.”

“There will be a march with the procession ending back at the courthouse.This will be a peaceful all-inclusive demonstration and march. Attendees are encouraged to wear Bernie gear and bring signs. All are welcome,” states the press release.
