ARCATA – Arcata Play Center is returning to the D Street. Neighborhood Center for indoor playgroup starting on Monday, Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to noon. Celebrate with friends and join in the fall fun!
Come in costumes and enjoy Halloween-themed crafts and sensory activities. There will be story time and songs with special guest, the Tea Fairy. There will be some trick-or-healthy treating happening as well.
The Arcata Recreation Division, with funding from First 5 Humboldt, offers a play group for families with children newborn to five years. Play Center is a safe and comfortable environment for children to interact with other children while learning important social skills. Activities include drawing, reading, riding tricycles, playing with blocks, and making music. Caregivers also have an opportunity to gain support from each other.
Arcata Play Center is offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at D Street Neighborhood Center, 1301 D St. in Arcata. cityofarcata.org/rec, (707) 822-7091.
